Friends Unseen was a female-fronted band from Umea, Sweden that existed between 1997 and 1998 approximately. From my understanding, this band was just a side project of a few friends that went to university together. In their very short existence, they recorded only two songs which were released on a 7" via Subjugation Records in 1998.
The sound of Friends Unseen is defined by warm harmonies of guitars and indie pop melodies adorned with beautifully sung female vocals. You could compare them to 125, Rue Montmartre that sounds more rock-ish. The guitarist Lars Strömberg had played in Separation and went on to play in The (International) Noise Conspiracy.
